Expensive Bullet Proof Clothing Makes it's Way to South Africa
In 1992 Colombian designer Miguel Caballero, launched a high fashion and rather expensive bullet proof clothing line. He was inspired by the high crime rates in the city of Botega.
Recently his line has caught the caught the attention of South African businessman Ari Ben David. According to BBC News David was drawn to the line on the account of the high crime rate in Africa.
The clothes are made to with stand shots from both 9m and AK 47’s. Clients who are really worried about their safety are given the option of adding stab proofing, for an additional cost.
Since most people who are inhabitants of African villages and other areas where there are high crime can not afford the costly attire, the line will specifically target military and other high end professionals.
Ain’t that some ish…they can afford body guards, can't they make something that the refugees can afford? It's said that it had to come to this.
