How was your Thanksgiving 2007?

Ten pounds and no rest later my Thanksgiving weekend was a blast. I was so into the holiday this year that I even decided to pitch in with the cooking, making the world’s best mac and cheese ever!! My family and I gathered at my parents newly renovated home in the out skirts of New York City. We dined on a traditional southern Turkey Day buffet style, which included candied yams, stuffing, ham, collard greens, corn, rice, my mac and cheese of course, and not one but two kinds of turkey.
Then at midnight we all piled into our cars and headed out to the shopping extravaganza of the year also known as Midnight Madness at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets in Harriman, New York. That was one of the best and worst things that we could have done, for one it was bloody freezing and on top of that lines for all of my top stores were insane. If you don’t believe me, the Gucci Store didn’t open until 5 am; however people were camped out starting at 1 am!! I don’t know what type of sale they were having but at like 40 below that wouldn’t have been me. Although it was mayhem and the lines were extremely long I was lucky enough to snag an awesome Marc Jacobs jacket (on sale @ Saks) and a few Coach Bags, after my mom waited online for like 2 hours (Thanks Mom), and a few other bonvoyage items. No for the sad part of the weekend; a close family friend passed last week, my friend lost her mother, her children lost there grandmother and their entire family lost someone that will truly be missed: R.I.P Ms. Kim Mealy.
I know I wasn’t the only American who appreciated and celebrated Thanksgiving. What did you do this year or what didn’t you do that is normally part of your tradition each year? Well VH1 caught up with some of our favorite celebs to get the skinny on their Thanksgiving traditions, and what they have to be thankful for.
