It’s almost 5 am here in Firenze (Florence in Italiano) and I am still up. This jet lag/time adjustment thing sucks. Since I am up I will tell you all about my day: Today (well yesterday to be precise) I had the most amazing gnocchi of my life, and for my second course I enjoyed an amazing steak with gorgonzola slices…Delicioso! The only thing was that the meet was still raw and bleeding…poor baby heifer! But I had the chef re-cook it to my liking. And I totally stuffed my face. I also dined on the freshest Greca salad that I have ever tasted! Italianos sure can through down in the kitchen...It’s cool that everyone walks, bikes, or scooters their way around because I would be one fat pig. Dude I walked for like 2 hours today. I forgot to mention the tiramisu, which was almost better than sex! (Well ok close to it) It was seriously heaven on earth. I will never eat it again in the states!! I can’t wait to try some other places to eat. I have yet to have gelato, but I have like 5 months to go so….that’s next on the list.
Enough about food; The Duomo, one of the hugest churches in the world, which lies in the center of Firenze, is amazing; from the architecture to the elaborate hand painted walls. It’s definitely a must see for anyone who intends on traveling to Italy. And I have the pleasure of seeing it every day because I live like two blocks away. I haven’t got to see all the sights, but as soon as I get settled in and know my way around I will be sure to upload some pics and videos to the blog. Its officially a quarter to 5 and I am getting sleepy. Ciao
