Hey guys, I was watching one of my favorite movies this weekend, “Selena”, you know the film which debuts Jennifer Lopez’s best acting skills to date. I mean she became Selena; there were times in the film when I couldn’t tell them apart…but anyways I was watching the movie for the millionth time when I had an epiphany. Do you notice that a lot of the musicians that come out of Texas come with a “Roc la Familia” behind them? It’s like they make sure the family to build a dynasty inclusive of all the family.
I mean take Selena Y Los Dinos, her sister was the drummer, her brother played guitar and produced her albums, and her father was the band manager. Then we have the more recent Knowles and Simpson clans! Both of the eldest daughters Beyonce and Jessica made there mark and brought there families along for the ride. While their little sisters respectively; Solange and Ashley attempted to follow in their footsteps. Daddy Knowles manages Beyonce and mom Tina is responsible for all her perfectly tailored outfits. Jessica and Ashley’s dad Joe also manages his girls as well. Loving the family unity Texans! If you’re going to build a dynasty why not incorporate the people you love?
