Fresh from the Operating Room to Blog!

Ok! I made it! The office was hella nice and helped me to get over my fears! The surgeon did an amazing, rapid, painless job and his assistant was an Angel (literally). However these meds needs to kick in asap because the numbness is wearing off! The whole right side of my face feels crazy! But I'm not as scared and I did it all by myself! I am on Vicodin for the next week or so and to think I still have 2 more teeth to go! Wisdom teeth, whose idea was that? LOL. Now that I can't talk (thank GOD for texting) or work I have lots more time to blog and catch up on my writing. In the meantime I have been canvasing the latest magazines, VIBE, King, InStyle, Vogue etc. and I am so happy with Fall 2007 fashion! It fits right in with my closet minus, a few boots, coats, and yes Handbags! Yes DOTS we need a storage closet just for us (Sequin get on it). My recent "soul searching" has allowed me to become more aware of American culture; which thrives on drama, scandal, and porn ( not sex because that is a European thing, but trashy exposes of woman in the most awkward spreads ever, becoming celebs off of sleeping around and drastically increasing the rate of AIDS and STD'S in people of color). For example, Nicole's fill in while her and BFF Paris were feuding, Kimmy K. is on the new cover of King talking about the men she has slept with or dated. Who is she and who cares? Is that what it takes to be an A-lister?
On the contrary, I appreciate the September VIBE issue with Barack Obama on the cover for doing an extensive piece on the "next generation" and shining lite on the people of color that may or not be famous in pop culture (White America) but have earned their place in society by conquering something that they love and adore! From athletes, to producers, songstress's, lawyers, actors, and journalist they all have made accomplishments worth noting. I always love to hear about one's passion,struggle, and perseverance one as to have to achieve their goals. Stores like those that only inspires me, but they allow me see that everything that I am going through is only a testament to what it is in store for me. Thank You VIBE! However, I wasn't one of the people mentioned we will definitely have to talk about that!

Well the pain meds are definitely kicking in! How can vampire's drink blood it tastes so nasty, or maybe its the mixture or novasan and blood! Who knows YUCK!
