Ok, so my career has been on some sort of involuntary hiatus. The long days of searching for a new styling gig, waiting to hear back from stylists, trying to get my looks together for a fashion show, hawking a bs photographer for my images from my test shoot, trying to decide if this whole fashion thing is for me ( ya damn right it is) had put me in a real bitchy mood! Like everyday! Therefore, I packed my bags and went to Europe to get my mind right! ( Ok, I planned the trip way in advance, but so what!) I promised myself that I would write everyday of my 14 day road trip through 7 countries about what I did, the people and of course, THE FASHION!!!! SO.... hear we go!
AMSTERDAM: I'd rather not go into all the bs I went through traveling from NYC to Germany to Holland...I will just get to the good stuff! This place is crazy, in a GREAT way!!! Once arriving in the downtown area, it hits me that I am rally in Amsterdam. The smell of marijuana in the streets is so weird to me...I can't believe people are burning it down standing right outside. We( that's me & the big homie) decide to get it poppin early and slide into this coffee shop. ( Coffee shops sell weed, cafe's sell coffee...just for future reference) I meet some people from my tour group who are tripping off of mushrooms...WOW!!! I ask shortie what she feels like and her reply is not words, but a movement with her arms basically saying she is floating. All you have to do is ask for a menu and pick your poison...let's just say that most of the stuff you see in High Times does exist!
As I walked the streets, here's what I wrote:
Red light district: 50 euros-like 75 usd for a suck n f**k...girls rent out rooms for 150 euros a day...room is glass door with curtain, a sink..girls stand in window or doors of their room showing their goods and waiting for a client
Clothes: younger crowd(not goth but urban dark) trendy girls: boots, skinnys, leather snorkels. Weather like cool rainy summer day. Scarfs are big, wear them with anything. A tee, a tunic! Windows look like a mix of fall and spring.
Lots of pradas. All kinds. Dudes wear metallics with sweatsuits.
Concerts In Town: don omar, sean paul, wu tang, talib kweli
People: Amsterdam is like one big SOHO or Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Its one big melting pot of all different races, ages, ethnicity's. I LOVED IT!!!!!
