Fashionista Diaries

Did you get to check out the new reality show on SoapNet "The Fashionista Diaries" ? The show is about 6 "fashionista's" paired up and working at Jane Magazine( so sad to see it go..I will touch on that later), Flirt Cosmetics and SeventhHouse PR. The contestants work together to complete projects at their companies, then they work to together on projects involving the companies collectively...all in the pursuit of working Olympus Fashion Week( now Mercedes Benz Fashion Week...either way..been there/done that! )

But, I'm not a total hater....I would have LOVED to be on this show!!!

I could have taken the place of the girl from Queens who knows nothing about fashion, wore flip flops on her first day and while working her first event(she works for the pr office), let random people who were not on the list into the venue! I felt so bad for this girl her first day at the office. After she was told off about wearing flip flops she was made an even bigger fool when it came to fashion questions. When asked her favorite designer she said.....Juicy Couture! Now don't get me wrong, Juicy has some cute things but as a 20 something year old woman who is suppose to be "in love with fashion" and sitting in a pr office that holds some very big lines....you gotta come better than that. They asked her: "You want to be know as the Juicy Couture girl in the office?!" I was cracking up!!! That's the world of fashion for you! Even if she didn't know "high-end" names, she could have at least said Calvin or Ralph. I mean goodness Oscar even...they sell one of his lines in Macys! She said she feels like Ugly Betty...that was funny. To top the show off, she had such a bad first day that she didn't come back the next! Very smooth, very smooth. ( Just kidding! )

Or I could have taken the place of the only dude in the cast(he works for Jane Mag), who got star struck as he worked the CFDA awards red carpet! He let big names walk right by him. He did have his best cheese smile on...I mean if that helps get quotes. Whatever! He has a background in fashion, he should know better.

Then there's the people that have been on point from day one. They were fashionable, hyped about their jobs and jumped into their positions! Of course there is a girl there who has what it takes to make it... A nasty attitude! She's just one of those girls who comes off as "oh I'm better than you". And oh yeah, she moved in with the dude from the show....interesting!

Maybe the producers picked the two(queens girl and dude) who they felt that maybe they can "mold" them into what is needed. I don't know but its a good 30 minutes to watch!

I like the girl that works at Jane, the girls that work at Flirt. Shortie at Seventhhouse dresses nice, is an intern at Bazaar...she knows her stuff. I just hope her attitude doesn't get her in trouble. Well it probably won't because the people she works with have the same exact one! Perfect for her!!!!
